Resumption Of School Reported In Kisumu County

The resumption of primary and secondary schools in Kisumu County, Busia, and Kakamega is in high gear as learner resumption has peaked to nearly 98 percent.

During his visit to Kotetni primary school, Butere Boys, St Elizabeth lureko, Butula boys, Bumula primary and Busiada girls high school in Western Kenya, PS University Education and Research Amb.

Simon Nabukwesi made this observation. According to school heads in the sampled schools, the major challenges they are facing is a lack of adequate space to accomplish social distancing as well as desks.

Once all learners report to their respective schools, the PS was optimistic that 100 percent resumption will be achieved. To avoid crowding, there has been staggered resumption of classes.
