President William Ruto Cars collection

William Ruto Cars: Kenya’s President William Ruto is a man who has intimate knowledge of luxurious goods including jewelry, shoes, clothes, and vehicles.

He has been spotted with watches costing millions of shillings, shoes worth hundreds of thousands, and top-brand clothing from world-renowned fashion houses.

So vast is his wealth that an opposition leader once told him to sell one of his watches and pay striking medical personnel who are currently in a standoff with the government over pay.

William Ruto Cars, latest luxurious purchase? A second vehicle with a price tag of Sh 20 million.

On April 25, 2024, President Ruto stepped out in a brand new 2024 Lexus LX600 valued at $93,915.

According to the official Lexus website, for this price tag, an owner gets to purchase it either in “eminent white pearl, atomic silver, nori green pearl, caviar or manganese luster colors.”

The key features of this luxurious fuel guzzler include409 HP Twin Turbo V6 that produces 409 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque, making it the most powerful engine ever fitted to an LX, full-time 4WD, and Lexus safety system+2.5, a comprehensive safety system included in every LX.

This integrated suite of advanced active safety equipment and convenience features is designed to help in certain circumstances, from providing pedestrian alerts to preventing lane drift.

“Engineered to elevate the driver and drive to unprecedented heights, the 2024 LX is the definitive chapter of flagship luxury.

Its exterior, a study in sophistication and strength, exhibits a silhouette that perfectly complements any road, on-road or off. And the LX F SPORT Handling elevates your drive to its most visceral heights.

Featuring aerodynamically enhanced bodywork, exclusive 22-inch forged F SPORT wheels, and a race-inspired interior, this SUV stands in a class of its own,” said the manufacturers.

In January 2023, barely a handful of months since he assumed office, President Ruto unveiled a Sh20 million Lexus LX 570.

It’s features include a sunroof, keyless entry and ignition, a power liftgate, front and rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree surround-view parking camera system. Additionally, the car also can tackle remote and rugged terrains in luxury.

The vehicle comes standard with a 383-horsepower, 5.7-liter V-8 engine that pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel drive is standard.

President Ruto also has a Mercedes Benz Maybach S600 at his disposal for official use.

As Kenyans continue to lament the high cost of living and high unemployment rates, it would appear the Ruto household neither feels the pinch of the biting economy nor read the public room with their tone deaf purchases.
