According to Kenyans.co.ke, he however had to turn points and reach to president Uhuru Kenyatta through Jubilee secretary general Raphael Tuju after he did not receive any response from the former Priminister’s office.
It is said that Sonko took more than 15 MCAs to Tuju’s resident in order to plead for his job.
It has also emerged that the reason Sonko never got a response from Raila’s office is that he had received a directive from the president earlier to work with the government of Jubilee to eject the governor out of his seat
According to reports, Raila was urged to sign the Ksh 37 million budget and direct Ksh 27 million to the Nairobi Metropolitan Services as the only way to continue with the impeachment.
This comes after it has been reported that the NMS boss Badi is constantly fighting with the Governor of Nairobi as to who will control the budget.
It has however been reported that more than 120 MCAs from Nairobi have placed their signatures for Sonko’s impeachment.
