Deputy President William Samoei Ruto is with no doubt one of the most philanthropic leaders to have ever graced Kenya. From his way of life as a Christian and as a leader, the DP always makes a mark that in most cases leaves his political opponents disappointed.
Like other leaders who are fighting coronavirus through Donating Foods to the needy and vulnerable in society, Ruto has been doing the same but with a very different and safe approach.
“When Billionaires like Raila Odinga are distributing some little stuff it must be chaotic. Ruto is here showing how it should be done, silently no drama no chaos #Rutocares” #Tweeted
Unlike other leaders, the Deputy President has been Donating Foods in an organized team that is distributed in different counties that he uses to supply foods and other necessities to the poor hustlers.
This approach reduces the risk of COVID-19 transmissions as there are no crowds like we experienced in Kibera. Secondly, Donating Foods is distributed evenly to those that are in need of minimum time.
As of Sunday 3, May 2020, the DP through his team had been able to distribute food to a record of 50,122 families. The food is been distributed in Kajiado County, Kiambu, and Nairobi respectively.
