It is a bad day for the Kisumu County Education Executive Officer, Dr. Obiero Ogone after being sacked by Governor Nyong’o. Dr. Ogone failed to ensure this year’s prompt bursary disbursement in the county.
Governor Nyong’o has also appointed former Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association national chairman, Mr. John Awiti as the new Cheif Executive Officer for Education. Mr. Awiti contested for the last Kisumu West parliamentary elections and lost to Honourable Olago Aluoch.
Several senior staffs have also been sent on a compulsory leave in today’s changes.
The changes in the County have been caused by the Governor’s move to tighten his administration grip amidst the Covid 19 pandemic.
