Huduma Centers: An aim of curbing the spread of coronavirus has led the government to order the temporary closure of all Huduma centers in Nairobi.
The Ministry of Public Service and Gender, in a statement on Tuesday, July 14, said that different dates for closure will be issued out across all the centers.
A certain portion of the statement read as follows “Taking into account the rising number of COVID-19 cases in Nairobi in the past week and the high number of customer traffic we are experiencing we will be temporarily closing Nairobi Huduma Centers for fumigation, We will start with Huduma Centre GPO on July 14.”
Shockingly, 10 employees of the huduma centre tested positive hence leading to the minimization of operations across the centre.
Drawing a statement from Mr . Patrick Amoth who is the acting director general of health, the Ministry is working on all possible measures to have the disease reduce its harsh calamity upon Kenyans.
