Controversial Deputy President ally, Hon. Oscar Kipchumba Sudi has been hitting the headlines this week due to his statements of criticism to President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government.
Jubilee coalition senate Majority leader Samuel Poghishio has today blasted MP Oscar Sudi for disrespecting the president. After the KANU National Executive Council meeting which was held in Nairobi today, Poghishio said that the presidency must be respected by everyone regardless of their positions.
While attending a requiem mass for the three people who were shot dead by police officers at Lessos in Nandi County on 25th June 2020, Sudi stated that they had given Uhuru Kenyatta enough respect by electing him as the president of Kenya and that was enough for him.
“Naskia wengine wakisema tuheshimu rais, na ninajiuliza ni heshima gani ingine rais anataka kuzidi heshima tuliompa kwa kumpigia kura? (I hear others saying that we should respect the president and I ask myself what respect the president need more than the respect we accorded him by voting for him)” Sudi said on Thursday.
