Kenya African National Union Secretary-General Nick Salat has responded to his new appointment by President Uhuru Kenyatta to work for Jubilee Government to be the chairperson of the Agricultural Development Corporation applauding the Head of State and his party leader Gideon Moi.
On Friday, President Uhuru Kenyatta has appointed the Kenya African National Union Secretary-General Nick Salat as a chairperson of the Agricultural Development Corporation through a Gazette notice number 5451.
According to the Gazette, President Uhuru has informed that Salat will officially kick off his job as from August 7, 2020, for one year until 5th June 2021.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by section 7(3) of the State Corporations Act, I, Uhuru Kenyatta, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces, appoint Nicholas Kiptoo Arap Korir Salat to be the chairperson of the Board of the Agricultural Development Corporation, up to June 5, 2021, with effect from the August 7, 2020,” read Gazette notice.
Salat has applauded the head of State over his appointment to work in Jubilee Government asserting that “I want to take this noble chance to thank President Uhuru Kenyatta and Hon Gideon Moi for entrusting and believing in my sui generis potential to serve as chairman -Agricultural Development Corporation board of directors.”
The KANU Secretary-General has further added asserting that “I, therefore, vow to serve the nation diligently.”
The KANU party has also penned via their official Twitter page asserting that “we wish our Secretary-General Nick Salat the very best on his appointment and wish him every success in his new duties.”
