Jackie Maribe Education

The TV siren went to State House Girls High School situated in the leafy Nairobi Suburbs. Impressive enough is that she was in the same dormitory with the famous Gospel singer Size 8 while at the institution. Following high school, Miss Maribe joined the University of Nairobi where she pursued a degree in journalism studies.

Jacque Career

After her graduation, Maribe acted in a role in The Constant Gardener back in the year 2005. Maribe later joined K24 TV in 2009 as a senior Political Reporter, a job position she held until late 2011. From December 2011 till October 2012, the bubbly media personality served as the Political Affairs Correspondent at Kiss TV of Radio Africa Group. Ms. Jacque Maribe is the Political Affairs Correspondent for Citizen TV, after joining the media firm in 2012.

Jackie Maribe’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Maribe Mwangi reside in BuruBuru estate in Nairobi. Presently, the sexy TV siren resides at Royal Park Estate situated in Langata within the city after relocating from her parent’s home in Buru Buru.

The Media personality became a mother back on the 14th of May 2014. Jackie Maribe, the son, is called Zahari, and not much is known about who her baby daddy is.

Jacque Maribe and Dennis Itumbi

Rumour had it that the TV presenter was so romantically involved with Dennis Itumbi who serves as the Director of Digital Communication in the President’s office. The duo has been intimate friends as well as long-term job mates.

What caused many to think that the two were lovers was a photo that went viral of the two kissing in public. Furthermore, on the afternoon of 18th December 2015, Mr. Itumbi surprised the lady with a happy birthday cake while she was still live on TV reading the lunchtime news. However, as it turned out Jackie Maribe was engaged to someone else news confirmed that the two are just friends.

Jackie has always kept her dating life very private, which is why Kenyans are so responsive to speculate when she is seen in public with a man. Grapevine alluded that comedian Eric Omondi was her baby daddy, a story they both rejected saying they were just close friends.

Jacque Maribe and Eric Omondi

Jacque Maribe has similarly been linked romantically to the top comedian Eric Omondi. Omondi confirmed they had a connection. “Yes, I have had a relationship with Jacque Maribe,” Eric Omondi said in an interview.

The affair became apparent after the two were spotted in several social venues looking in love. However, it was when Jackie’s all-white birthday that the issue came to the surface.

Helpless to conceal their burning fire, the duo locked lips, kissing passionately paparazzi seized the moment. Eric later played the episode down saying theirs wasn’t a romantic kiss.

“I did it because it was her birthday,” Omondi said back then. After being asked if he is Jacque’s baby daddy, he said, “I can’t talk about that.” Eric Omondi says the duo is no longer an item adding that he moved on.

After Jacque Maribe was held for being a murder suspect, Eric Omondi clarified claims that he is the father of TV journalist Jacque Maribe’s son.

Eric said he knew who the baby daddy was, but this was not a great time to reveal him. “I know the baby daddy; however, it is not a good time to reveal him, Jacque Maribe is experiencing a difficult time,” he said. Eric’s words came after a close friend to both Maribe and he said the comedian was the birth father of her son.

This friend said that the moment Eric Omondi broke up with her, she was hugely affected. The friend also confessed that Eric has been footing child support bills since the baby was born in May 2014.

Jacque Maribe and Oliver Mathenge

Jacque once dated Oliver Mathenge the senior political analyst for The Star newspaper, and as the rumors would have it (all unconfirmed I might add), she later cheated on Oliver Mathenge. However, accusations being what they are, I wouldn’t take them too seriously. Through Oliver Mathenge’s wedding, Jacque was there with her beau Dennis Itumbi.

Jacque Maribe and Joe Irungu Engagement

All the hearsays about whom Jackie Maribe was dating were put to rest on the 30th of June 2018, after Joe Kuria Irungu aka Jowi went down on one knee and intended a proposal to her. Maribe said yes and videos of the engagement were uploaded online. The proposal was witnessed by Jackie Maribe’s intimate friends Shix Kapienga, Monica Kiragu, and Terryane Chebet.

Strange enough, Dennis Itumbi was among the first to congratulate Jackie on her latest engagement, and the duo even went on to make fun of the rumors of their alleged ‘romantic relationship.’

In 2017, Jackie Maribe was selected as the Head of State Commendation (HSC) winner, a prestigious civilian award offered by the Head of State, Mr. Uhuru Kenyatta.

Jacque Maribe Verdict

Maribe was acquitted by Justice Grace Nzioka of the Milimani Law Courts on Friday, over lack of evidence.

She is the second accused in the case that has been ongoing for over five years.

According to Justice Nzioka, the charge brought against Maribe was not properly placed.

“It is my considered view that the charge brought against the second accused person was not the proper charge,” she said.

“Was there any offense committed when the second accused person stated the investigating officer at Lang’ata police station which turned out to be not true? I say no more. The office of the Director of Public Prosecution knows their mandate.

“The result is that the prosecution did not adduce enough evidence for this court to find the second accused person guilty of the offense of murder of Monica Nyawira Kimani on the night of September 19, 2018,” Justice Nzioka said.

Justice Nzioka, however, said the prosecution has adduced sufficient evidence and has met the threshold.

Jowie and Jacque Maribe have been on trial since 2018, with the prosecution having called 35 witnesses. The defense did not call any witnesses.
