Born in South Africa in 1997 to Kenyan parents, Dr. Muthuri relocated to Kenya at the age of one. Her academic journey was marked by consistent excellence:
- Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology (magna cum laude) – United States International University-Africa (USIU-Africa).
- Master of Arts (MA) in Counselling Psychology (magna cum laude) – USIU-Africa, graduating top of her class in both degrees.

At 24, Dr. Muthuri became the youngest graduate from UP’s School of Health Systems and Public Health, a milestone celebrated globally. Her research focused on:

“I realized there was a gap in mental health support for healthcare workers and chose to pursue a PhD to address it,” she explained.
