Metropol Crystopol app: How to Check Your CRB Status

Need to check if you are listed on CRB? This is how you go about it. Check your status through USSD by dialing Metropol code *433# or by downloading the Metropol Crystopol app.

Check CRB status using USSD code *433# (Check if you are blacklisted)

• Dial *433# on your phone.
• Select Listing status by Pressing 1 (Credit score, Credit report, clearance certificate, who has listed me)
• Input your PIN (or if you have forgotten it Press 1 to reset. A new PIN will be sent to you via SMS)
• Press 1 to confirm if you want to order for listing status.
• You will be asked to pay Ksh 50 using MPESA to get your listing status, Press 1. (Or press 0 to receive CRB payment instructions via SMS)
• Complete payment using m-pesa.
• You will receive a message from Metropol confirming payment has been received.
• Finally, you will receive a message confirming whether or not you are listed on CRB.

Check who has Blacklisted you

Want to know who has blacklisted you on CRB? Follow this procedure below.

• Dial *433# on your phone.
• Select who has listed me by Pressing 5 (Credit score, Credit report, clearance certificate, who has listed me)
• Press O.K
• Input your PIN (or if you have forgotten it Press 1 to reset. A new PIN will be sent to you via SMS)
• Press 1 to confirm if you want to know who has listed me and confirm by pressing O.K.
• You will be asked to pay Ksh 100 using MPESA to get who has listed me, Press 1. (Or press 0 to receive CRB payment instructions via SMS)
• Complete payment using m-pesa.
• You will receive a message from Metropol confirming payment has been received.
• Finally, you will receive a message confirming who has listed you on CRB.

To be blacklisted on CRB by Metropol Crystopol app means, that you have been negatively listed for defaulting on agreed loan payments with a credit provider. This credit provider can be a bank, mobile lender, MFI, or Sacco.
