Meet Senate Aaron Cheruiyot Beautiful Wife – Linah Chesang Cheruiyot

Outspoken Kericho County Senator Aaron Cheruiyot has not only been one of the most vocal leaders from the Rift Valley region but one of the youngest and most powerful leaders.

The ambitious leader is also a family man. Aaron Cheruiyot is married to one beautiful wife known as Linah Chesang Cheruiyot who was born on 30th January 1989 and has been married to the Kericho senator for more than 9 years. According to trusted sources, the two are blessed with two daughters Maria and Divinah.

Aaron Cheruiyot is currently serving as the Kericho County Senator and the Majority Leader in the Senate. He holds the record as one of the youngest majority leaders in the Senate. He is serving as the Kericho county Senator for a third term.

He was elected to the Kericho county Senatorial for the first time in a 2016 by-election. He was one of the youngest senators to be elected in the Kenyan parliament at 29 years in 2016.

In the 2017 general elections, Aaron Cheruiyot contested for the Kericho county Senatorial seat and retained the seat after receiving 278,059 votes under the Jubilee party ticket defeating other three candidates.

In 2022 he was re-elected after garnering 292,295 votes under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party ticket. He is known to be a strong supporter of Kenya’s fifth president William Ruto.

The Kericho county Senator was instrumental in successfully enacting important legislation including the tea bill. He has sponsored other Bills which include the county government (Amendment) Bill 2018, the Persons with Disability (Amendment) Bill 2020, and the Sports (Amendment) Bill 2021.

Aaron Cheruiyot has also served in several crucial senate committees which include Committee on ICT, Energy and Standing Committee on Devotion, Intergovernmental Committee, and Finance and budget committee among others.

He also served as a commissioner in the Parliamentary Service Commission (PSC). At PSC he served as the chair of staff welfare and member of security and development committees.

Senator Cheruiyot is also the current captain of the Bungee FC. He has skippered the team to winning various regional tourneys.

According to reports the popular senator is currently pursuing Masters in Business Administration(MBA) at Kenyatta University. He holds a Bachelor of Art and Literary Studies from Moi University having graduated in 2010.

He started gaining political interest when he was still at the University. In 2008 he vied for Moi University Student Organization (MUSO) chairman’s seat 2008 but lost out narrowly to Moses Orango.
