Metropol CRB Clearance, Charges, Paybill number & Contacts

Metropol is one of the Three CRBs in Kenya approved by the CBK to offer CRB services. Are you blacklisted with CRB for defaulting on loans from KCB Mpesa, Mshwari, Tala, Branch, Timiza, or Zenka etc? Do you want to clear yourself from CRB and get a Metropol CRB Clearance certificate? If yes then this post is for you.

In this post am going to take you through the step-by-step procedure on how to clear with CRB and eventually get your clearance certificate from CRB.

Registration with Metropol CRB

• To access their services, you must first register:
  • Dial *433# on your mobile phone.
  • Enter your ID number.
  • Pay a registration fee of Ksh 50 via M-Pesa (you will receive payment instructions).
  • Upon successful registration, you will receive an SMS with a unique PIN for logging into Metropol’s system.

After successfully registering with the app, one can now request to know who listed you ( The lender)

Contact the lender and clear the loan and obtain a Batch Number which shall be required by the CRB as proof of clearing with the lender.

Metropol CRB Clearance Charges

1. CRB status – ksh 50 
2. Who listed me – ksh 100
3. Credit Report – ksh 250 
4. Clearance Certificate – ksh 2200

All payments for the services are made through Paybill number: 220388 and ID number as the account number.

Request for Clearance Certificate

• If your credit record is clear or you’ve rectified any negative listings, you can proceed to request a clearance certificate.
• The cost for the certificate is Ksh 2,200.
• You can pay via the same channels (USSD, App, or M-Pesa).
• After payment, the certificate will be processed and sent to your email. Ensure you provide the correct email address.

2. Check Your CRB Status

• Once registered, you can check your CRB status (whether you are listed negatively or positively).
• Use the same USSD code (*433#), Metropol’s Crystobol App, or their website.
