Deputy President William Ruto has sent out a message on his Twitter account thanking the people of Tharaka Nithi for gifting him today when he did his tour in the area.

He has in this week been making a tour of Central Kenya, including Nyeri. Today, 1 November 2020, the Deputy President was attending a church service at the Presbyterian Church of East Africa, St John Kimuchia Parish, Chogoria, Tharaka Nithi and the PCEA Munyange Parish at Munyange Secondary School in Othaya.

Ahsante sana the good people of Tharaka Nithi County for showering me with bunches of green bananas and a stalk of sugarcane to chew, chicken; may God bless the work of your hands.

After the church, he addressed various gatherings at Chuka town, Chogoria and Marima. In all these places, the DP was received by massive crowds.

He preached his hustler narrative and called for a consensus on the BBI report in order to avoid an expensive referendum that he thinks is unnecessary.

Interestingly, he was gifted sugar cane on a wheelbarrow that was being used to hawk the cane. The DP appreciated this by immediately chewing the cane in front of the people.

He has taken to his twitter account this evening to send his gratitude to the hustlers who gave him the gifts.
