After a fierce 2022 battle for the Kirinyaga county governorship position, NARC Kenya party leader Martha Karua has been off the political arena leaving his supporters to wonder the next step the iron lady will take come 2022.
On Tuesday Karua attended a high profile with African National Congress ANC party leader and veteran Makueni county governor Kivutha who had also made public his desire for the topmost seat in the country.
Kenyans were left speculating on what the trio might have discussed in relation to 2022 succession politics given that the three leaders have already stated clear they will be in for presidential elections come that time.
Some netizen even speculated saying Martha Karua had been asked to deputize Musalia Mudavadi to come 2022, a position which many described as ideal for an iron lady like Karua.
Karua has now reacted to her endorsement by section of Kenyans as deputy president. According to Martha Karua, nothing fancies her now other than the topmost seat, the presidency.
“Why not prezzo!!”Karua reacted to a netizen who had lauded her saying she will make a good deputy president.
Karua is among veteran politicians in the county who have been protesting growing impunity cases in the country. She is also among those opposing the Building Bridges Initiative BBI being spearheaded by former prime minister Raila Odinga and president Uhuru Kenyatta.
