Murang’a Senator Irungu Kang’ata yesterday elicited a debate countrywide after sending threats to ODM Senators, that the fate of BBI lies with the proposed CRA amendments.
According to the Senate Majority Whip, if the proposed amendment by the CRA is not passed then there will be no BBI.
Now sources from the Standard, indicate that in response to threats by Irungu Kang’ata, Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga was forced to cut short his recovery vacation in Mombasa and returned to the city to a crucial meeting with the president regarding the Third Generation Revenue Bill.

Jubilee side of the handshake has accused Raila Odinga of not whipping his senators to back the proposed amendments by CRA. Most leaders affiliated to ODM have stated it categorically that they will not back the Third Generation Revenue Bill as it is because most counties will lose their shares at the expense of other counties.
