President Uhuru Kenyatta bromance with his Deputy William Ruto seems to be on a demise after fresh details have emerged.

In a report via the Nation, It has been established that President Uhuru Kenyatta will tomorrow be sending the Ministry of Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiangi to represent him in an event that shall be held tomorrow at Nyanza about the Building Bridges Initiative.

The meeting which Raila Odinga is expected to meet with 11 governors from Western and Nyanza regions in Kisumu will be meant to “brainstorm on how to mobilise and coordinate the BBI campaigns at the grassroots level,” as disclosed by one of the leaders aware of the plans.

It has been affirmed that there will be several Members of Parliament in attendance with the name of the 11 governors being exposed.

The Sources which have spoken to the Nation has said that the governors who will be present include Wycliffe Wangamati [Bungoma County], Patrick Khaemba [Trans Nzoia], Wycliffe Oparanya [Kakamega], Dr. Wilberforce Ottichilo [Vihiga], Sospeter Ojaamong [Busia], James Ongwae [Kisii], Prof Anyang’ Nyong’o [Kisumu], John Nyagarama [Nyamira], Okoth Obado [Migori], Cyprian Awiti [Homa Bay] and Cornel Rasanga representing Siaya county.

The move comes a day after ODM leader Raila Odinga informed about the BBI team plans as from next week.

Raila Odinga said that they shall be launching the collection of signatures as from next week to pave way for the referendum which is scheduled for next year in June.

“We want that exercise to be done as quickly as possible so that the matter can be handed to the electoral commission and then we can move towards the next phase of a referendum,” he said.

Raila revealed that they will be holding meetings often and which shall include Governors and women representatives and leaders of county assemblies.

“We are going to be talking to some representatives including Governors and women representatives and leaders of county assemblies,” Raila added.
