Wazito President Ricardo Badoer has revealed that the club will be going for young and fresh talent when the transfer window opens in order to boost their current squad.
The club has reached a decision to take a different approach this transfer window, choosing instead to tap into emerging talent as opposed to roping in experience as it had done in the past.
Ricardo has blamed the lackadaisical performance the team registered in the concluded season to an experienced side that showed little if no commitment at all.
“Our plan is different now. We are looking to signing some talented upcoming players from other teams, young people with a thirst for football. We need players who really want to play football for us,” he stated.
The president ruled out inking deals with big names to replace the 12 players that were sent packing earlier.
“We are not going to sign high profile players this time around. The target is to get young players who are hungry and want to perform well. There’s no point in signing big names that won’t deliver,” he added.
