Tanzanian opposition leader, Tundu Lissu has given details about his safety a few hours after the demise of Tanzanian hero and president, Dr. John Pombe Magufuli.
While speaking from Belgium to Kenya’s media station, TV47, Lissu has revealed that his safety back home, Tanzania is not guaranteed but has said that the fight continues.
He stated, “There is no guarantee that I will have a safe space back home but the fight continues.”
He didn’t give a specific date on when he will return to his home country but has revealed that he will be coming to Nairobi Kenya in a few weeks time to launch his book “The Parliamentary history of East Africa.”
Lissu who has been experimental over the few in questioning the Tanzanian government on the state of health of the late president has also alleged that Magufuli succumbed to Covid-19 despite Vice president Samia Suluhu affirming that he died of Chronic Atrial Fibrillation.
