Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko Win’s Kenyans’ Heart For Fighting COVID19 in Style.


Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko on Monday unveiled a new state of the art fumigating machines to spray the city as the war against COVID19 Pandemic intensifies in the country.

The Flamboyant governor on Monday night was fumigating the Kariobangi market to enable traders to operate in a safe environment free from the deadly virus.

This is despite the fact that the governor was banned from providing relief food to the needy who are in dire need of support during this difficult time of the COVID19 pandemic.

Sonko who was live on Facebook announced that they were using a fog machine, fog generators or smoke machine that emits a dense vapor that kills viruses, bacteria and all other diseases causing organisms within the environment.

The governor has been spending sleepless nights together with county staff and his Sonko Rescue team to fumigate the city.


On Tuesday night the governor’s Sonko rescue team members were arrested by police but they were released unconditionally today morning.

Netizens showered messages of praises to the Governor for his good work of ensuring that the spread of the COVID19 is reduced.

Job Masika one of those who commented on his page told the governor to continue serving the people even if he is fought politically.

”Eee… hata wakupige kisiasa wewe endelea kuwahudumia wananchi.. till your death Sir… I salute you Hon Sonko,” he said.

Martin Matigi said even if the government banned him from helping the needy he should soldier on as time for them would come for ‘them’ to know who is Wanjiku.

Nelly Owity another user said Sonko is the only governor who knows what took him to the office and prayed for God to bless him forever.


Sonko is known for his kind heart and always willing to support the common mwananchi and dedication to deliver services in the county.

Since the pandemic hit the country it is the Nairobi Governor and his Mombasa counterpart Ali Hassan Joho who have dedicated their time to support the needy and use all means to ensure they fight the virus.
