The Gunners – Arsenal Club has been in a celebratory mood following their London derby triumph over bitter rivals Chelsea on the weekend that somehow seemed to be the first step towards revival.
Mikel Arteta’s side has been poor to watch until they came up against the blues and as it stands now they are on their way to rebuilding their season and at least climb higher up the table.
However, as Arsenal prepare to face Brighton on Tuesday, some bad news has hit their camp after the club announced that defender Gabriel Magalhaes has tested positive for Covid-19.
“(Gabriel) Has tested positive for COVID-19 and is isolating according to UK Government and Premier League protocols. We will continue to monitor and support Gabriel, and we are hoping he will be available again after our next two matches,” read an update by the club on its official Twitter account.
Gabriel has by far been Arsenal’s best defender ever since he joined in the summer and missing him will be a huge blow for the club.
Arteta will hope that the likes of Holding and Mari can step up to the task in the next coming games before Gabriel is cleared to play again.
