Rigathi Gachagua Provides Solid ‘Proof’ How Murathe Is Lying to Raila About 2022.

Mathira Member of Parliament Rigathi Gachagua now says that the ongoing narrative about President Uhuru Kenyatta supporting ODM leader Raila Odinga in the 2022 presidential race could be a lie.

The narrative was kicked off by Jubilee Vice Chair David Murathe, who has claimed that 2022 will be the year when Raila will be rewarded for his sacrifices for the country by being handed the top seat.

But Rigathi Gachagua, one of those who want the seat to be taken by Deputy President William Ruto, has found it questionable that until now, no rally has been held in Uhuru’s Mt Kenya backyard to popularize Raila.

He told the Star newspaper that it is very possible that Murathe and the team could only be fooling Raila, which is most likely the reason why they only endorse him in hotels and people’s houses and not public gatherings.

“I have seen Murathe, who purports to speak for the President, saying their candidate is Raila Odinga. No problem with that but why are they only saying so in Nairobi hotels and residences of some individuals?” he is quoted.

Rigathi Gachagua also pointed out that while Uhuru has repeatedly visited Kisumu, one of Raila’s main strongholds, Raila has not made any serious to Mt Kenya.

According to Rigathi Gachagua, it is time Raila came back to his senses and realized that he is being fooled, as he should have by now noticed that Uhuru’s side is not making any effort that can benefit him in 2022.

“If Murathe and all those in Kileweke are serious let them take Raila for rallies in all the famous stadiums in all the counties in the larger Mt Kenya. The earlier Raila reads the writings on the wall the better,” Rigathi Gachagua added.

Murathe, a close confidant of the president has been making the pro-Raila declarations even as Uhuru remains silent on his preferred successor.

On the other hand, it is almost clear that Uhuru will not be keeping his earlier promise to support the DP, judging by the widening rift between them.

Raila, on his side, has remained silent in whether or not he will be taking his fifth shot st the top seat come 2022, though he has told his supporters that he is not tired yet.
