Hundreds of children in the streets of Nairobi have a reason to smile after receiving donations of foodstuffs, soap, cereals and beverages from the Natasha hand of Compassion.
The donations are to help them from the economic effects of the countrywide dusk to dawn curfew occasioned by the Covid-19 outbreak.
In a recent tweet , Rev Lucy Natasha said
“Food is a basic need that each and every Kenyan should not have trouble accessing. “
Donating is one way to show appreciation in such unprecedented time. The efforts of Rev Lucy Natasha have been noticed by community , governmet workers and going miles , featuring internationally.
The charitable organization which accompanied her to the donation process were some members of her congregations.
Apparently the city preacher said that the reason of distributing soaps and sanitisers was to help them ensure they’re clean since it’s the key tools in preventing transmission of the virus – has been hard to come by for most street families who live in unhygienic conditions.
Rev Natasha said that they are targeting to feed over 2,000 street families Amid coronavirus’ crisis.
