Teenage sensation Mason Greenwood bagged a brace in the English Premier League, as Manchester United came from behind to grab an emphatic 5-2 victory over relegation bound Bournemouth.
Greenwood, 18, equalised for the hosts after the Cherries’ shocking 15th-minute opener via Junior Stanislas. He netted United’s fourth with a plausible minutes after the break when he charged at Diego Rico on the edge of the area and cut a right-footed shot back across goal into the far corner.
Marcus Rashford then converted from the spot to put United ahead before Anthony Martial extended the led with a brilliant curling effort into the top corner with halftime beckoning.
It proved to be an end to end encounter as Joshua King reduced the deficit for the visitors from the spot, four minutes after the interval. Arnaut Danjuma could have restored parity had his effort not been disallowed for offside.
Bruno Fernandes sealed Bournemouth’s fate, netting United’s fifth with a free-kick from the edge of the box.
