Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga’s son, Raila Odinga Junior has found himself in fire after advising Deputy President William Ruto’s allies.
Responding to Daily Nation’s newspaper headline which states: ”Ruto’s allies plan anti-Uhuru rallies,” Raila Odinga Junior asked the leaders to forget what has happened and move on.
More so, he pointed out that Ruto and allies have been having anti-Uhuru rallies before, and this will not be the first time.
”But these rallies have always been there, accept and move on should be the new normal,” said Raila Odinga Junior.
Raila Junior’s response on twitter attracted a variety of reactions from citizens. Many came out to blast him over his sentiments arguing that he has no powers to give anybody advice partaking politics. Here are some of the reactions from a section of residents:
This is not the first time Raila Odinga Junior has been under attack for tweeting against the deputy president. In most cases, people have launched witty attacks against him because of his father, who has tried so many times to ascend to power in vain.
The ODM leader, Raila Odinga, and President Uhuru Kenyatta joined hands in 2018 to work together for the sake of peace and unity in the country. Ever since his association with Uhuru started, things for Ruto and his allies have been hard.
Just recently, Ruto’s allies were dropped from their senatorial positions for snubbing Uhuru’s meeting at State House.
This move by the Head of State has caused more trouble in the ruling party with leaders allied to Ruto’s Tanga Tanga wing complaining of favoritism from their boss.
