Meet Prisca Chemutai, Mother To William Ruto’s Daughter Abby Cherop

Prisca Chemutai is woman without limits determined to achieve success through hard work. She is also a mother to William Ruto’s daughter Abby Cherop.

Prisca Chemutai met William Ruto way back in 2005 after she was introduced to him by a mutual friend. Then he was the member of Parliament for Eldoret North while Chemutai was in Moi university as a student.

According to Prisca Chemutai, William Ruto made several advances until she gave in. Their relationship continued well without any problems. In 2006 she gave birth to a lovely girl who she terms as her everything.

The girl was named Abby Cherop a name that was inspired by now the deputy president William Ruto. Cherop is currently 14 years old and a student at Alliance girls school having scored 406 marks in the 2019 KCPE exams.

However Cherop is currently not in school as Covid-19 has disrupted learning in all schools around the country. Hopefully she will get to school soonest once we flatten the curve to persue her dreams.

Cherop was never in the public limelight up and until she came out to claim that, William Ruto had neglected his child after becoming the deputy president. This was despite promising to support the child all through her life. This deputy president refuted heavily and gave his take.

According to the deputy president Prisca Chemutai is employed and earns a salary of Ksh 90,000. The deputy president also affirmed that, his daughter was in a private school and he was paying fees as well as giving a monthly upkeep of Ksh 40,000. He warned politicians and busybodies to keep off matters surrounding his private life.

Since then this matter cooled down and hopefully, the two parents are taking care of their beautiful daughter. The girl is also doing perfectly fine in her endeavors.
