President Uhuru Kenyatta took on Deputy President William Ruto today after severally being criticized by the DP on his government.
The President dared his deputy, William Ruto to resign if he can not support him in making sure that the government ran well and achieved the promises made to Kenyans during the campaigning period.
The head of state was speaking during the commissioning of two hospitals built by the Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) in Nairobi earlier today. The hospitals are Uthiru Health Centre and Kiamako Health Centre.
He blamed DP Ruto over his berating of a government that he is still a part of. He added that the DP should not be taking credit for completed government projects as he has disassociated himself from the government’s running.
DP Ruto has been quoted repeatedly saying that the BBI and handshake deal has interfered with Jubilee’s Big Four Agenda.
The majority of Jubilee Party members allied to the President have said that DP Ruto should respect the head of state and choose whether to back the government fully or resign.

President Uhuru Kenyatta indicated that if one feels that his government is good he or she should stay with it and those criticizing it should leave. He said that his aim for Kenyans is unity and not division.
Uhuru went ahead and called for respect lamenting that it isn’t good for people to continue insulting him and claim that they are working together.
