Residents of Nyamira County have come out in large numbers to attend deputy president William Ruto’s rally despite the threats by the Police earlier today.
Ruto was to attend a fundraising event that was organized for the Nyamira Bodaboda riders Sacco in the County was cut short after police appeared in troops ordered the residents to go away from the meeting in peace. They also brought down the tents that were set up in preparation for the event.
A photo shared through the twitter handle of former Statehouse official Denis Itumbi showed a large number of Nyamira RESIDENTS who turned out to meet the second in command who sold out his politics to them.
According to Itumbi, the event for the youth empowerment in the region which was organized earlier must go on despite the Intimidation by the police.
He added that if it was some kind of stock exchange or other event linked to the state like the bankers, they could have not been stopped. He called out to the Police inspector general Mr. Hillary Mutyambai and the national police to stop undermining the hustler movement.
