The Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Hon Kipchumba Murkomen has weighed in on the political story that has made headlines on social media, alleging new party formation by the deputy president Dr. William Ruto.
A gazette notice emerged on Monday with details of a party that had decided to change its name and symbol to that which suits the hustler nation’s wheelbarrow ideology.
Various leaders from Tangatanga confirmed that the newly formed United Democratic Alliance party was a Ruto project confirming that they were about to leave the Jubilee party.
The Tangatanga communications operative Dennis Itumbi also confirmed the authenticity of this party giving official links for the party’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Youtube accounts.
On Tuesday, most of the legislators allied to the deputy president reported a massive exodus as the set for their new party, “free from oppression,” as they put it. They sarcastically told the secretary-general Raphael Tuju alongside David Murathe and President Uhuru Kenyatta to continue operating the Jubilee premises as their kiosk.
The Elgeyo Marakwet Senator has however refuted claims of joining any other party. In a funeral at Kericho county, where his boss the deputy president was also present, Murkomen said other people can form new parties and join them but as for him, he is still in the Jubilee party to stay.
According to the youthful senator, he feels indebted to kenyans when his Jubilee party has failed to deliver that which it promised to kenyans years ago. He promised not to live the party but to ensure he fights against all forces that are preventing their agendas from manifesting.
“Naskia wengine wanatengeneza chama mpya, hao watengeneze tu. Mimi nitabakia Jubilee kuhakikisha mile ambacho tuliahidi wakenya tunatimiza.” he stated.
