William Ruto’a allies Kithure Kindiki, Kipchumba Murkomen and Susan Kihika were ousted from Senate leadership last week

Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri has spilled the beans claiming over 50 senators were paid KSh 100,000 each to vote out Deputy President William Ruto’s allies from Senate leadership.

The vocal Tanga Tanga lawmaker who does not mince his words said the senators were ordered to vote using the acclamation method where everyone’s vote was public so the funds could be accounted for clearly.

Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri claimed over 50 senators were bribed by Uhuru to vote out William Ruto’s allies in the Upper House.

Speaking to Daily Nation, Ngunjiri said members of the Upper House allied to President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga were promised a further KSh 200,000 on completion of the job.

“We have eyes and ears on the ground. What happened in the Senate is unconstitutional. The lawmakers who call themselves members of the Upper House were bribed with KSh 100,000 each with a promise of another KSh 200,000 if the voted out William Ruto’s allies from Senate leadership,” Ngunjiri said unapologetically.

The Bahati MP compared the ousting of Kithure Kindiki as deputy speaker, Kipchumba Murkomen as majority leader, and Susan Kihika as majority whip respectively to the Pontious Pilate ruling where the Roman official distanced himself from judging the son of God as he was innocent.

Ngunjiri said hustlers and dynasties were at war and the former would emerge victor in 2022 to teach the ruling families a lesson.

“The so called royal families do not understand how to manage a country. They just want to remain in power forever. Other people are also capable of taking over power,” he said.
