A new state-of-the-art one storey twin laboratory at Peter Kibukosya Secondary School in Umoja II is now complete and ready for use.
The twin lab was unveiled to the public on Monday by Embakasi West MP George Theuri.
The facility will accommodate both chemistry and biology classes and will be accessed by students once they return from their week-long midterm break that began on Monday.
Theuri has pledged to construct six new classrooms at the school to create more space for the growing number of learners seeking admission.
Besides Dr. Mwenje in Kariobangi South, Peter Kibukosya is the only other public day secondary school in Embakasi West constituency. It attracts students from almost the the whole of Nairobi, being a county school.
The development comes barely a month after the legislator opened a new block of classrooms at Supaloaf Primary School in Mowlem during a function attended by Deputy President William Ruto.
His unrelenting effort to promote quality education in the constituency has borne fruit. Last Friday, Theuri issued NGCDF bursaries to needy university and college students drawn from all the four wards of the constituency, during a ceremony held at Umoja I public swimming pool area.
