Gatundu South Member of Parliament Hon Moses Kuria has issued another statement opposing the Building Bridges Initiative revealing what will happen in the Mt Kenya region.
According to Moses Kuria, he has penned saying that since the BBI is calling for an expanded executive alias “Double-Decker Parliament” it will fail to allege that it won’t go through in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s backyard.
Moses Kuria has added that in the Mt Kenya region the BBI team which is led by President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga should expect to get 10 percent of the total votes in the region.
“On account of #DoubleDeckerParliament, BBI will fail terribly in the Mt Kenya region. I do not know how it will perform in other regions. But in the Mt Kenya region, it will get 10% of the votes. Take that to the bank,” Moses Kuria has said.
Over the past few days, the Gatundu South Legislator has been on the record opposing the Building Bridges Initiative over claims that it is meant to oppress Kenyans through increment in taxation to manage a bloated team of representatives.
Moses Kuria had recently said that “not unless the BBI Constitution Amendment Bill is revised to remove the creation of a 640 Member parliament- including the nomination of 180 women MPs- I and my house will vote NO.”
“Unless the BBI Constitution Amendment Bill is revised to remove the creation of a 640 Member parliament- including the nomination of 180 women MPs- I and my house will vote NO. I urge all my friends and supporters to do the same. This economy is in ICU. We can’t afford it. You decide if you want food on the table or salaries and big cars for 640 MPs,” Moses Kuria said.
