The 2022 succession politics have gained momentum as the general elections near. The succession has even been added more flavor and competitiveness with the introduction of BBI, which seems to reduce the powers of the president with the introduction of Prime Minister post who will overlook the executive arm of government.
The political bigwigs like Dp Ruto, Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi, Kalonzo Musyoka are set to benefit more from the BBI, but who wouldn’t wish to the supreme president of all?
Nominated Nairobi Senator Millicent Omanga, who is also a close ally of Dp Ruto, has taken a dig on Kanu party chairman Gideon Moi.
Senator Millicent Omanga said that Gideon Moi has always been forceful including Dp Ruto on the dustbin of those who ‘love’ BBI. She wonders how yet Dp Ruto’s views have been made clear as his misgivings and reservations are on key issues.
“The DP’s views on BBI are crystal clear—his misgivings & reservations on key issues—but Gideon Moi is forcefully including him in the dustbin of those who “Love” BBI,” reads Millicent Omanga’s tweet.
This happens as the BBI referendum enters another milestone, with Senator Irungu Kang’ata claiming President Uhuru Kenyatta has taken charge of BBI and referendum. Dp Ruto wants the referendum to be done alongside the 2022 general elections.
He also wants the referendum to be voted in terms of multiple choices; clause by clause, the demands Raila and ODM leaders have refused.
