The Kenya Power and Lighting Company have said that they will interrupt the electricity supply tomorrow, Friday 22nd January 2021, in several parts of the country.
Kenya Power made this announcement as directed by rule 27 of the Electric Power Rules. The power company will cut the supply of electricity in the listed areas so that they can manage to do various important activities in the highlighted areas.
The power company will be doing the maintenance and upgrading their systems which supply power to the consumers of electricity in these parts of the country.
More importantly, the power supplying company will also carry out the installation as well as repairing areas that have undergone sabotage in the systems that supply the electricity in the listed areas.
The power outage oftenly last for up to eight hours. Which means that the electricity will be interrupted from morning hours to the evening. Tomorrow’s outage will also run from morning to evening hours.
The shutdowns will affect investors who need power in their day to day production, manufacturing, processing as well as servicing activities. The areas that usually affected the most include; institutions, industries, banks, hospitals, businesses etc.
