Kenya and Japan’s government have signed a grant amounting to Ksh. 1 Billion for the provision of medical equipment to be improved in various health facilities in the country.
National treasury and planning CS. Ambassador Ukur Yatani, said that the UHC phase will contribute to the achievement of the health sector’s strategic goal of attaining equitable quality health care for all citizens of Kenya during this pandemic which has taken all nations with a blow.
Yatani was speaking when signing the agreement with well-wishers from Japan in the allowance for Development Scholarship and Japan grant under the economic and social development program on the provision of Media equipment.
Yatani added that Kenya will continue to strengthen the two bilateral friendships as well as improving scholarship engagement in the coming years. The Cs is hoping the grant will improve many life’s in Kenya as the Nation is in need of more facilities to fight the COVID 19 virus which his downfall the countries Economy.
