The former Vice President has responded to David Murathe’s remarks rubbishing the Jubilee Party leader controversial remarks.
The Wiper Party leader who made the remarks live at Kalonzo Musyoka’s Foundation office in Karen, he has asserted that were it not for the Covid-19, he would have already kicked off the process of the campaign across the country.
“Whether or not, Wiper Party will have a Presidential Candidate. Nobody should sleep with any doubt in their minds because if we don’t make the decision now…, In fact, if it was not for COVID, Probable we would have made it earlier,” Kalonzo Musyoka has asserted.
Recently, Jubilee Vice Chairman David Murathe during an exclusive interview with KTN he asked former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka to make way for Raila’s Presidency come 2022.
“Until he (Kalonzo) moves from the Nasa coalition, what we are doing is co-operating. Just like we are co-operating with ODM. I don’t know what the arrangement is on the Nasa side but if you ask me I would like him (Kalonzo Musyoka) to also let Raila run,” Murathe said.
Murathe also faulted Kalonzo Musyoka for failure to lobby the Wiper Senators to support the proposed revenue-sharing formula threatening the Wiper leader that failure to cooperate with Jubilee, then there will be no need for Jubilee to support his Presidency.
“We signed a cooperation agreement with his party. But some of the senators giving us a headache on this revenue sharing formula are Wiper senators. So if Kalonzo Musyoka cannot get his legislators back the President why should we support him in the future?” Murathe said.
According to Kalonzo, he has informed his political stand ahead of 2022 asserting that whether or not, the Wiper party will have a presidential candidate.
