Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo warns those plotting to bring DP Ruto down by prosecuting post-election violence cases
William Kabogo has warned those plotting to bring others down and happy to see them fall disclosing the consequences.
Mr Kabogo has through an illustration said that “Sometimes those trying to bring you down, don’t realise you are part of the reason they are still standing.”
Adding that people should learn that “when doing all under the sun to bring someone down you forget your stand”
Kabogo’s remarks come a time when the ruling party top leadership is being faced by divisions with a feasible end of the past bromance between President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto.
Deputy President William Ruto’s allies in the Jubilee party have in the past been recorded saying that despite campaigning for President Uhuru Kenyatta they feel very sad to see the Deputy President being sidelined in a government that he used all his efforts to build and a party they formed being torn apart.
Among leaders are Kipchumba Murkomen who had earlier said that “If I met President Kenyatta today I would look him eye-to-eye and ask him what is that one mistake that washes away what William Ruto did for him from 2002 to winning the first, second and rerun elections.”
DP Ruto has also been earlier recorded saying that “people forget quickly where they have come from.”
