The President of the Republic, Uhuru Kenyatta, has allegedly dismissed his nephew and personal secretary Mr. Jomo Gecaga unceremoniously from the Statehouse.
According to a post by some blogs online, the reasons behind the abrupt dismissal are not yet clear, bearing in mind the two are great friends and confidants.
“President Uhuru Kenyatta has reportedly unceremoniously fired his nephew and personal secretary, John Gecaga from the statehouse. It is unclear why the president made such a move besides the two being very close confidants,” read the post by Mkenya News.
Social media users were quick to respond to the news claiming that the head of state should also practice rotation while giving out work. Others sought to know the application procedure for the vacant opportunity left by Jomo Gecaga.
The reactions from internet users could have been attributed to Uhuru’s utterances at the burial of the late Mama Hannah where he claimed that maybe it is a time for another tribe to rule the country.
