Nominated Sen. Isaac Mwaura on Thursday announced that he had officially left president Uhuru Kenyatta’s Kieleweke faction and joined deputy president William Ruto’s hustler nation.
Speaking in Msambweni during the homecoming ceremony of new Msambweni MP Feisal Bader, Mwaura pledged his support to the deputy president going forward.
“Kuanzia Leo, I am officially a member of the hustler nation,” declared Isaac Mwaura in Msambweni.
Mwaura and former Nairobi governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko criticized President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM party leader Raila Odinga on a number of issues like the BBI. They accused the president of oppressing DP Ruto and his allies.
Sonko said Uhuru had betrayed Ruto, Duale, Murkomen, Kihika, and himself while embracing Raila who is leading him the wrong way.
However, when he rose to address the congregation, deputy president William Ruto condemned the attack on the president and former prime minister. He called upon his team to respect other leaders and engage in constructive talks.
ODM Director of communications has come out to condemn Mwaura for his attack on the president and ODM party leader.
“It is utterly pointless for @MwauraIsaac1 to keep insulting the President and Hon. @RailaOdinga to please his new suitors. He must be told that the constituency he canvassed to be nominated to represent needs more attention than shouting in public rallies to seek attention,” said Philip Etale on Twitter.
City lawyer and royal Raila supporter Donald Kipkorir also criticized Isaac Mwaura for his utterances in Msambweni.
He challenged him to surrender his nominated seat and fight for it in an election like any other politician.
“Isaac Mwaura should stop using a SEAT FOR THE DISABLED to engage in Insults & Prostitution. He should man up, surrender the seat, then be free in his politics of looking for the next nomination. He Is the Poster Child of Politics without Principles & Monetizing Disability,” tweeted Donald B Kipkorir.
