I Can’t Hand Over Power To a Thief: With less than two years remaining before the 2022 general elections, several leaders have continued to express their interest in running for the country’s top job. The Deputy President of Kenya Mr. William Samoei Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga have been viewed as the leading horses in the race.

The President has been secretive in his plans for his replacement so far. A few weeks ago the president hinted at supporting a candidate from different ethnic communities after the Gikuyu and Kalenjin dominance.

The President has once again dropped a major hint on his successor revealing that he was indeed assessing the options for his replacement. According to President Kenyatta, He can’t afford to hand over power to a thief.

It is unclear who he was referring to as a thief but its no doubt that the statement will raise critical questions on Uhuru’s Plan.

Meanwhile, share with us your thoughts on the matter kindly.
