How to file KRA returns if not employed (Students) step by step
Step 1 : Log in to the KRA iTax portal using your KRA pin and Password.
Step 2 : Once you have logged in successfully, click on returns. A drop down menu will appear then click File Nil Return.
Step 3: Under Tax obligation, select Income Tax – Resident Individual. The rest of the fields are filled for you. After your done click next.
Step 4 : If your filing nil return for the year 2021, make sure your return period is from 01/01/2020 to 31/12/2020. Then click submit to file nil returns
Step 5 : After successful submission, a return receipt will be generated.
Step 6 : Download the e-Return Acknowledgment Receipt .
