Tangatanga and Kieleweke allied supporters were having different views on the legality of the process. Tangatanga close allied Senator Kipchumba Murkomen tried his best to save Mike Sonko from impeachment but all his efforts went mule.
Waititu took advantage and declared to vie for Nairobi gubernatorial by-election expected to choose another governor. The political party register approved him creating mixed reactions. LSK president Nelson Havi delivered this news,
According to KTN News, “Law Society of Kenya President Nelson Havi has said the anti-graft agency and the electoral commission cannot bar impeached governors from running for the Nairobi governor by-election set for February.”
