Meru County Chief Of Staff Hon. Gideon Kimathi
Bursaries for students are set to be released by Governor Kiraitu Murungis’ government, as schools start to re-open after a prolonged suspension of learning occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Meru County Chief of Staff, Hon. Gideon Kimathi said in preparation for the re-opening of schools the county has already constructed 70 new ECDE classrooms, besides developing a hygiene plan to ensure the safety of learners.
Hon. kimathi noted the County in liason with the National Government had taken time to study COVID-19 pandemic to facilitate smooth learning without endangering lives of learners.
He spoke during the launch of Kiegoi parish and also the opening of the priests’ House at Our Lady of Fatima Kiegoi in Igembe South Subcounty , occasion officiated by Bishop Salesious Mugambi of Meru.
Present at the function also includes Kangeta MCA Hon Romano, Kiegoi/Antibochiu MCA Kimathi Ithibua, and Kangeta Parish Priest Fr Anthony Kathenya among others.
