Garissa Town Member of Parliament Aden Duale was on Monday morning kicked out as the Majority Leader in the National Assembly.
The communication was made by President Uhuru Kenyatta during a Parliamentary Group meeting held at KICC.
Duale has now been replaced by former Finance minister and Kipipiri MP Amos Kimunya.
Immediately after the changes were made, the meeting was over and attendees left for their various engagements.
However, outside the KICC, a group of curious journalists caught up with Duale and asked him what had happened during the meeting.
“Kumeendaje huko ndani (what happened inside there),” one asked.
In a rejoinder, a seemingly cool Duale just responded, “si mshaambiwa (haven’t you been told already).”
He refused to take any more questions and just walked away together with his team.

Duale’s ouster had been expected after more than 120 Members of Parliamentary signed a motion to replace him after falling out of favour with him.
