The ongoing rains in Ugenya have brought untold suffering to the people of Ugenya, and many citizens living in the flood-prone areas across the country.
More than a hundred families have hence been rendered homeless in Ugenya Constituency, Siaya County. Leaders from the constituency have called for a permanent solution to the problem.
Honorable Daniel Juma Omondi is a former aspirant for Ugenya Parliamentary elections. He calls the Government to provide a lasting solution to the floods in the constituency.
“I call upon the Government, through Kenya National Highway Authority to speed up the construction of the new bridge.”, Mr. Daniel said. Thanking the President for stepping up for humanitarian assistance through the ministry of devolution, Honourable Juma urged the people entrusted with the distribution of the relief assistance to leave their cameras behind and do so with humanity, respecting the dignity of the affected.
